Validis™ announces limited public launch of innovative service for accounting system users

Tuesday, April 17th, 2007

Validis, the Thinking Solutions Company, today announced the limited public launch of its innovative new service Validis for Sage™ - the largest single group of accounting systems users in the UK.

This unique interactive on-line service is designed to allow everyday accounting application users to quickly and easily verify the accuracy and validity of their accounting data. After subscribing to Validis, users are offered a simple interface to allow them to run the sophisticated algorithms over their accounting data which detects any errors.

With Validis, the mission is to bring affordable, easy to use, secure, ground breaking technology and software engineering to SME businesses, and the accountancy practices that work with them, so as to dramatically increase efficiency, productivity and profits. This will also improve job satisfaction and the quality of daily working life.

There have been three revolutionary aids to business and accountancy. First there was the calculator, then the spreadsheet, now Validis™.

Validis is a very simple application using very advanced and sophisticated software that quickly and easily verifies the accuracy and completeness of even complex accounting data. In this respect it is rather like Microsoft Word's Spell Checker. It too is very simple to apply but belies the sophistication of the software engineering that makes it work. However, Validis is this and more; Validis is the "thinking software" that mathematicians have tried to commercialise for years.

Commercial release is being controlled to allow continued feedback from early field tests where over 100 external users test drove the service and provided key use and design feedback to the company.

Stewart Holness, CEO, commented:

"This is a major innovation for the business community and the supporting industry in the accounting and audit world. We believe the market has been crying out for a simple yet thorough solution to help check the completeness and accuracy of their accounting data, especially as regulations are tightened and the complexity of running businesses increases. The first release of Validis has been designed to support the Sage Line 50 market - which is a substantial market in its own right; Sage have over 5m users world-wide today. The Validis service is being rolled out quickly throughout 2007 to support all Sage products as well as Intuit QuickBooks, MYOB, The Microsoft Dynamics range, Oracle, SAP and Sun Accounts. Net-net: every major user of accounting software from the smallest SME to major institutions will have access to easy-to-use, very affordable and potentially invaluable software".
