The Validis service is accredited by the ICAEW

Wednesday, April 16th, 2008

Validis, the automated accounts validation and review service, brought to market by the London based company Future Route Ltd., has been accredited by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

The Validis service, allows Accountants in Practice to conduct automated accounts reviews, reducing their operational risk by making their accounts investigation procedures more thorough.

Accounts reviews are central to a number of key accounting processes including audit, accounts preparation, due diligence and initial fee setting for new clients. By making these processes more efficient, Validis can improve a practices bottom line and free up time for higher margin client services.

The ICAEW is an independent UK association of chartered accountants in the UK with over 125,000 members. The accreditation is a confirmation that the Validis service fulfils the ICAEW’s stringent criteria to meet the requirements of a good accounting data validation service. Those criteria are that the service should:

Assist in the identification of errors, anomalies and suspicious transactions within accounting data.

Provide facilities to ensure the completeness, accuracy, confidentiality and continued integrity of these functions.

Be effectively supported and maintained; easy to learn, understand and operate; and fully supported.

Craig McLellan, Relationship Manager, ICAEW Member Services Dept. said:

"I am delighted to welcome Future Route's product Validis onto the ICAEW Accreditation Scheme. The product has been accredited under the new category of Data Validation - Accounting"

Chris Poll, CEO, Future Route Ltd. said:

“We are extremely pleased, and naturally honoured, to have passed the intense scrutiny of ICAEW and to receive the accreditation for Validis SaaS. This has come on top of the Accountancy Age "Best Use of Internet in Business" Award where the judges said 'This technology could change the way businesses operate'. We look forward to working very closely with the ICAEW organisation and its members so we can continue to develop our service to assist the accounting profession to improve their working practices.”
